Sea World Orlando - At a Glance
Many
visitors are surprised to discover that there is a lot more to Sea World
than Shamu. Sitting on over 200 acres, Sea World is one of the largest
zoological parks and is devoted entirely to mammals, birds, fish and
reptiles. The park also features one of the world’s largest animal rescue
programs, caring for hundreds of endangered animals each year.
How to
get there:
Sea World is located at the intersection of I-4 and SR 528 (Bee Line
Expressway), south of Universal Orlando and north of Walt Disney World and
15 minutes from Orlando airport.
Admission:
Single Day Ticket - Adult: $53.95, Child (Ages 3 - 9): $44.95, age 2 and
under are free.
Discounts available for members, guests with disabilities, senior citizen
and military personnel.

Parking:
Cars: $6.00, RV's: $7.00, Shamu Preferred parking: $10.00
Park
Hours:
Sea World opens at 9 a.m. daily. Closing hours vary with the seasons. During
the Fall & Winter months the Park closes at 6/7 p.m. (excluding Holiday
weeks). Hours increase during the Spring & Summer. Closing at 9/10 p.m.
Services:
Strollers, wheelchairs, lockers and indoor, climate controlled pet kennels
are available for rental. Wheelchair seating is available at all facilities.
Diaper changing and baby nursing areas, first aid, foreign currency
exchange, 24-hour automated teller machine, taxi and bus parking may be
found on-site.
Attractions:
Kraken:
The monster of all roller coasters is the tallest, fastest, longest and only
floorless roller coaster in Orlando. It will take you to the heights of a
15-story building and turn you upside down seven times, all at speeds
reaching 65 mph! Kraken has a 54" height requirement.
Journey to Atlantis!:
Traveling on water and
high-speed rails, you’ll be chased by spirits. You'll never know what's
around the next corner or the next 60-foot drop. Journey to Atlantis has a
42" height requirement.
Pets Ahoy!: A funny show featuring the talents of
dogs, cats, birds, rats, and other animals performing skits. 25 minutes of
action and comedy.
Shamu Adventure:
The show demonstrates the
awesome power of Sea World’s family of seven killer whales. Jack Hanna takes
you on an adventure exploring killer whales in the ocean and the Shamu
family.
Key West Dolphin Fest:
Atlantic bottlenose
dolphins, false killer whales and their trainers entertain with athletic
abilities and humor.
Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island:
Sea World's
comical flippered family teams up with comedic plunders and misadventure.
Key West - Dolphin Cove:
Live entertainment and
up-close encounters with dolphins.
Wild Arctic: A jet helicopter motion based flight
to a remote research station called Base Station Wild Arctic. Enter the
frozen wonderland of the Arctic and encounter walruses, beluga whales, and
two famous polar bears named Klondike and Snow.
A non-motion ride is also available.
Tropical Rain Forest: Beautiful areas featuring
exotic birds, 30 foot bamboo trees, banyan trees, and many other plants
found in the world’s rain forests.
Shark Encounter: Travel through the world's
largest underwater tunnel. You'll be just inches away from dangerous
predators.
Penguin Encounter: A 120-foot long moving walkway
will transport you through a frozen wonderland filled with hundreds of
penguins.
Pacific
Point Preserve:
Feed sea lions and seals at this rocky Pacific coastline
habitat.
Manatees: The Last Generation: Immerse yourself
in the world of endangered giants.
Shamu - Close Up!: Be eye-to-eye with the killer
whales. A 7 million gallon observation area.
Stingray Lagoon: Visit the 40,000-gallon
habitat. It's one of the world's few exhibits that is exclusively dedicated
to the stingray.
Clydesdale Hamlet: Visit Sea World's
famous Budweiser Clydesdales up close and personal.
Shows:
Odyssea: This 30 minute show combines acrobatic
performances, comedy, whimsical costumes and amazing special effects.

Shamu's Happy Harbor: A kid’s paradise. Climb,
jump and slide in a tropical playground.
Midway: Features all types of video and skill
games. Skee-ball, squirt gun races, simulators and pinball games for all
ages.
Sky Tour: Go to the top of Sea World's 400-foot landmark.

Tours:
Touch a
penguin! Tours are one hour walking tours that are ideal for children
and adults. $7.95 for adults - $6.95 for children, ages 3-9
Adventure Express Tour: A six-hour tour. Includes
reserved seating at select shows, no waiting in ride lines, lunch, feed and
touch animals and you'll have your very own Adventure guide. Sign up at the Tour desk before 10:30 a.m. Tour price is in
addition to park admission.
Restaurants:
Guests may choose from nine restaurants, ranging from full service to
cafeteria style.
Also, the nightly “Aloha Polynesian Luau Dinner and Show” feature’s
traditional music, song, dance and food from the islands of Hawaii.
