Sunset
Boulevard
Branching
off Hollywood Boulevard at a sharp right angle, Sunset Boulevard leads the
way to two of the park's most thrilling attractions, Tower of Terror and
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Lined by palm trees, the road invokes the laid back
influence of Southern California through its architecture and farmer's
market style counter service location. The Theater of the Stars hosts a live
stage show featuring Beauty and the Beast. At night, Fantasmic wows
audiences with its enchanting combination of water screens, live action,
suspense, and a grand finale where Mickey Mouse triumphs over evil.
Disney's Imagineers broke one of their own rules of theme park design by putting
two E-Ticket attractions at virtually the same location in the park. Sunset
Boulevard is the MOST crowded venue in the park. Add in an enormous night
time spectacular (Fantasmic!) to the mix and ugh... you have a mess on your
hands. The street is narrow and during peak season, you might feel like
a sardine in a can. During the day, a distinct lack of shade plagues this
walkway, making it seem much warmer than it is. Take cover in one of the
many shops that line the street.
